Rules
Important Notice – Tanning Products:
The IFBB prohibits all tanning products that can be wiped off.
An official will inspect the tan of all athletes backstage. If the tan can be removed simply by wiping, the athlete will be required to remove the product before stepping on stage.
Additional Guidelines:
- The tanning must not contain gold shine, glitter, or any reflective additives.
- Only natural-looking tan shades are allowed.
- Tanning must be evenly applied and must not stain clothing, towels, or the stage.
To avoid disqualification or delays, athletes are strongly encouraged to use professional, competition-approved tanning products that meet these requirements.
Men’s Physique Shorts Regulations:
- Athletes must wear shorts that are loose-fitting around the thighs and extend to the knees.
- The shorts may display only the brand logo (e.g., Nike, Adidas), but no additional commercial or promotional prints, slogans, or advertisements are allowed.

Men’s Physique (MAP) Participants Enter the Stage One by One:
- The participant walks straight toward the cross mark at the center back of the stage. This means walking parallel to the back wall of the stage until reaching the center—not walking directly toward the front. (This allows the judges to observe the walk from the side.)
- At the cross mark, the participant makes a quarter turn (greeting the judges and audience) and then walks forward toward the judging panel. (The judges now see the participant walking directly toward them.)
- At the front center, the participant performs the 4 Bikini poses in a smooth, flowing manner—approximately one second per pose:
Front Pose – Side Pose – Back Pose – Side Pose – and returning to the Front Pose to finish. - After completing the poses, the participant walks to the lineup area at the back or side of the stage. Follow the instructions of the stage manager at all times.
